Agricultural Law
GILS Group also focuses on meeting the legal needs of the agricultural community. We listen to client concerns, and strive to offer innovative and workable solutions to complex agricultural law problems. The needs of our agricultural clients are continually evolving, as state and federal policies impact the day-to-day to decisions being made by farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses. GILS Group understands the long-term goals of the business and operation of agriculture and how it fits into the evolving global market. The importance of working with attorneys who understand the policies, procedures, laws and markets impacting production and business decisions is heightened by today’s economic and political environment.
In the midst of the current national and international debates regarding environmental issues and technological advances, it is more important than ever to rely on those who have knowledge of the industry from the soil, to the state to the nation -- and ultimately the world, and that the one industry constant that remains is “change.”
GILS Group has a fundamental understanding of the laws and public policies affecting the agricultural industry and rural communities. The founding member of GILS Group is a Missouri farm girl who has devoted her career to representing the agricultural industry and has worked on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., on policies impacting those involved in agriculture. She has practiced law in both the District of Columbia and the State of Missouri, where her primary emphasis has been providing quality service to those within the agricultural industry.
Still another founding member of the GILS Group team comes from a family who has relied on the inland waterways of the Midwest to transport and trade the commodities grown by our nation’s farmers and ranchers. Her commitment to the agriculture industry is integrated throughout all aspects of the GILS Group model as well, and as a result, our clients receive representation from a team that comes from and knows what it means to be an integral disk in the backbone of America.
